SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

WHAT'S SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?
Spiritual direction sessions focus on one's relationship with God and self. Here you'll find nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs & experiences- with the intention of drawing close to God and connecting with your most authentic self. Oftentimes, this includes overcoming religious shame, hurt, or trauma, deconstructing fear-based beliefs, and reintegrating your "unloveable" parts, thus cultivating a deeper sense of connection & belonging within yourself and with God.

WHAT'S A SESSION LIKE?
Online Spiritual Direction sessions are generally non-religious and trauma informed. I honor the words you have to describe God, the spiritual practices you hold, and any trauma triggers you may have. The pace of the session is slow and grounding; utilizing art and poetry, somatic awareness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to integrate the whole self. The hour is also filled with curious questions, compassionate witnessing, pregnant pauses, and aha-moments as you begin to establish a sense of safety, embrace your enoughness, and connect with God in ways that are authentic and meaningful to you.
WHO'S SPIRITUAL DIRECTION FOR?
Many arrive in Spiritual Direction feeling stretched, squeezed, overworked and mis-shapened by life while also struggling with a loud mind or a harsh inner critic that says "you're not enough." As a child, you may have also needed to suppress or surrender your needs, limitations, emotions and desires in exchange for safety or belonging. Now, in your adult years, you wrestle with big questions about your spiritual beliefs, purpose in life, or identity and may walk with a spiritual limp after years of church hurt or trauma. You long to be open & honest with God, but part of you wonders if that's even allowed. You feel constrained, disconnected, & distant and long for more fredom, joy, and authenticity in your spiritual and everyday life.

Spiritual Direction sessions are offered via Zoom and are scheduled monthly, twice monthly, or weekly, depending on your needs.

All sessions are trauma informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurosparkly.
